26 Dec 2009 They keep coming, top 10 lists at the end of the year. Our favorite British mobile games website, Pocketgamer.co.uk, included Star Defense in their top 10 list of best iPhone games of 2009. The article sums it up pretty well: "The tower defence craze may have died down, but we're still deploying Star Defense on a regular basis. Finely balanced tactical gameplay puts this slick-looking game light years ahead of other tower defence titles."

24 Dec 2009 We at Rough Cookie love to monkey around. In name of our greatest friends we have adopted five monkeys from Stichting Aap, the local shelter for primates and exotic mammals, almost around the corner of our offices. Our favorite is of course "Cookie", a Green Monkey probably from Sudan, pictured on the left. On behalf of Zusje, Frodo, Tarzan, Yodi and Cookie a big thank you to our friends. 21 Dec 2009 We feel honored Star Defense is nominated for no less than three categories in the IGN iPhone Readers' Choice 2009. We ask you, the Rough Cookie fan, to vote for us in the Best Strategy Game, Best Visuals and Best Audio categories -- if you feel we deserve so of course! The Gamer's Choice winners will be announced in January.

15 Dec 2009 It definitely is award season. The boys and girls of IGN locked themselves up in a room, argued a lot and came up with a list of this year's exceptional games. Nominated for two categories in the special iPhone section, Star Defense grabs the coveted Best Strategy Game award. "Best tower defense game on iPhone, period." We couldn't agree more. Congratulations to all other winners, including the ngmofos snatching the Best Multiplayer Game award with Eliminate. Well done!

11 Dec 2009 Predictably at the end of the year numerous top ten lists are published. Last month Star Defense made it to Kotaku's iPhone Gamer's Gift Guide. Today we find Star Defense in yet another list: IGN's iPhone Year in Review 2009 - Top Games of 2009. Author Levi Buchanan praises the excellent graphics and smart sound of the game and calls Star Defense simply the complete tower defense package. We couldn't agree more!

23 Nov 2009 Inevitably, at the end of each year lists about absolutely everything and nothing are published. Video game super blog Kotaku has posted the iPhone Gamer's Gift Guide listing "the more memorable games" of 2009. Among this year's other kick-ass iPhone games Kotaku lists two of Rough Cookie's titles: Star Defense and WaterWays. Thanks a lot guys!

13 Nov 2009 We at Rough Cookie are very proud Star Defense has won the Dutch Game Award in the Best Mobile/Handheld Game category. Last night, the award was presented to CEO Danny Hoffman and CCO Erik t' Sas at the Dutch Game Awards dinner. The jury has chosen Star Defense because the game "is distinguished by a great reinterpretation of a classic game, which makes use of specific possibilities of the platform." 10 Nov 2009 Our friends at ngmoco:) released the most awesome puppy simulator game ever: Touch Pets Dogs for iPhone. The game had a short preview in Canada only but is available worldwide now. Developed by the good guys at Stumptown Game Machine, we at Rough Cookie had the privilege to chip in during the final months of development of the game. Be sure to get your free copy! Woof woof!
